Flowers Bloom by Zhang Jingna

This is such a great shoot. The floral set and the delicate and intricate movements of the model work so well together.

'Un Weekend' Vogue Paris May 2014

In the weeks advancing towards the beautiful but short lived summers of the UK I begin to go a little crazy for shoots like this which capture the warm light of a summer sunset. This shoot in particular tells such a great story and really makes me long to be involved. I like the play of masculine and feminine styling in the shoot and the slightly oversized tailoring gives me a chilled anachronistic vibe.

'Work Hard And Be Nice To People' ID Magazine

This might seem a little out of context in the months of Spring but I love the overall vibe of this shoot. The monochrome wardrobe palette works well against the concrete backdrop. I like the way that the use of geometric shadows mimics beautifully the garments not to mention the juxtaposing role played by the clouds. Of course I also love the androgynous tailoring and the hair styling too.

Hans Silvester - Hermes SS14 Campaign

I have always loved the photography of Hans Silvester whose exploration of our world always captures the most intimate and enigmatic of natural phenomena. I was extremely delighted to find his amazonian shoot for the Hermes campaign. I love the mysterious and tranquil feel of the shoot with the solitary figures appearing truly at one with their oily green and blue surroundings. As with past photographs by Silvester these photographs create a feeling of discovery. It is as if we have just happened across an unknown tribe stunningly decorated to mimic their environment. What an exciting shoot!

'Defy circumstances and live with Joie De Vivre'

The Society of Elegant Persons of the Congo better known as the Sapeurs are blue collar workers who dedicate their free time to eccentric fashion. The Sapeurs live with the positive belief of putting more in, to get more out. These men have chosen to not be defined by occupation or wealth but by respect and a representation of their creativity and style. Their choice of colours and cuts is so bold and mimics the vibrance of their characters. This story of the transformation from a 'working man' to a sartorial butterfly is incredibly inspirational but even more so is the emphasis on the importance of the integrity and mentality of the man beneath the clothes. The 'Joie De Vivre' nature of the Sapeurs is infectious and I smile every time I see this advert.

Elie Saab - Spring Summer 14

Elie Saab has brought a touch of the feminine to my blog this morning which is somewhat of a rare occurrence. I truly adore the journey that this collection takes us on as we follow the Ellie Saab woman from a pure youth at the beginning to a sultry, gothic woman by the end. I found it hard to pick my favourites from the collection but my number one has to be the white and floral jumpsuit. It has such an elegant gown like air to it that you almost forget it isn't a dress and I'm sure that I haven't seen a jumpsuit like this before.

Emporio Armani SS14 - Chaplin Silhouettes

These looks from the collection really appeal to my love of oversized and somewhat boyish shapes. I love the Chaplin feel of the wide leg trousers which cut off mid ankle when combined with ladylike blouses and tailored jackets. The Oriental nature of the tightly pinned hair just adds to my love of the modest and beautiful collection. As does the highlight of pastel lilac in contrast to the monochromatic looks surrounding it.

3.1 Phillip Lim - Pre SS 2014

There is something so striking about the combination of the structured tailoring and casual sportswear in this collection. A mix which I wouldn't have imagined to work so well together. The contrast of over and undersized works really nicely with cropped double breasted jackets worn with loose shirts. I adore the mint coloured fabrics and the general muted tones of the collection. Of course I love the general androgynous feel of the looks. There are several items in this collection that would make me very happy to own but mostly the mint laser cut trousers and the salmon track pants. I really hope that the high street replicates these.
