Elie Saab - Spring Summer 14
Elie Saab has brought a touch of the feminine to my blog this morning which is somewhat of a rare occurrence. I truly adore the journey that this collection takes us on as we follow the Ellie Saab woman from a pure youth at the beginning to a sultry, gothic woman by the end. I found it hard to pick my favourites from the collection but my number one has to be the white and floral jumpsuit. It has such an elegant gown like air to it that you almost forget it isn't a dress and I'm sure that I haven't seen a jumpsuit like this before.

Emporio Armani SS14 - Chaplin Silhouettes
These looks from the collection really appeal to my love of oversized and somewhat boyish shapes. I love the Chaplin feel of the wide leg trousers which cut off mid ankle when combined with ladylike blouses and tailored jackets. The Oriental nature of the tightly pinned hair just adds to my love of the modest and beautiful collection. As does the highlight of pastel lilac in contrast to the monochromatic looks surrounding it.

3.1 Phillip Lim - Pre SS 2014
There is something so striking about the combination of the structured tailoring and casual sportswear in this collection. A mix which I wouldn't have imagined to work so well together. The contrast of over and undersized works really nicely with cropped double breasted jackets worn with loose shirts. I adore the mint coloured fabrics and the general muted tones of the collection. Of course I love the general androgynous feel of the looks. There are several items in this collection that would make me very happy to own but mostly the mint laser cut trousers and the salmon track pants. I really hope that the high street replicates these.

True Colours - Jeneil Williams for Vogue Germany September 2013
I caught a glimpse of these photos while flicking through Vogue Germany at the airport and couldn't take my eyes off them. The contrasting colours and textures of the knitwear in the surroundings is just mesmerising and I love the addition of the coloured backgrounds. I will be looking back at these photos as the weather turns cooler as a reminder of the glow of summer.

The Row Pre SS 14
There is something quite organic about this collection, a simplistic and polite elegance which never strays far from it's genteel core. The modest spirit of the collection avoids becoming bland with the punctuation of colour introduced at the end. The wheat brown shades, citrus yellows and sky blues all create a natural aesthetic and make me think of golden fields in the summer. This colour palette really works to marry the looks together, creating a smooth transition from beginning to end. The sophisticated necklines and hemlines create a graceful silhouette with high waists bringing some shape to the loosely fitted garments. They've even managed to fit a tux into the collection, what more could you ask for? I am truly in love with this collection and will definitely be using it as inspiration in the future.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Pre Spring Summer 2014
I really couldn't be more excited about this collection. It is just so effortlessly cool and beautifully tailored. There is something very delicate but powerful about the collection which I think is expressed through the mix of materials and patterns. The schoolboy feel to a lot of the looks is juxtaposed with the delicate cut of the blouses and the floral materials.

Thakoon Addition - Pre Spring/Summer 2014
I became a little excited when I discovered this collection today. I just love the contrast of textures of satins and suedes and the preppy Wimbledon meets ghetto attitude of the designs. The slouchy wide leg trousers teamed with loose fitted jumpers and shirts gives the collection an effortlessly cool edge. I love the whole collection but am head over heels for the paisley asymmetric hem dress.

Trina Turk A/W 13/14
This collection reminds me of a young Joan Baez dressed as Bob Dylan. I love the 70s vibe which has been modernised with a mix of loose and tight fits. The rainbow palette and the contrast of minimalistic and patterned materials make the looks eye catching and exciting. Most importantly, the hats add such understated cool to the collection and I personally would desperately like one of the scarlet red hats.

Life - The Invention of teenagers: Life and the triumph of youth culture.
I fell for this series from Life magazine as soon as I set my eyes upon it. Though it was the fashion that initially caught my eye, I soon recognised something quite dark about the photographs, specifically those capturing the rituals of the American sorority girls. They have a really sweet yet sinister feel to them.
